About the Role
We are seeking a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our team, focusing on financial analysis and modeling for diverse clients. This role involves advising on projects related to property, regeneration, investment, green finance, and funding.
Responsibilities
- Deliver robust analysis and financial modeling for a range of projects.
- Support strategic decision-making on projects including property and housing development, regeneration schemes, asset strategy and investment, project procurement, and delivery partnerships.
- Carry out development appraisals for property projects.
- Advise clients on project impacts and make strategy recommendations.
- Develop business plans, HMT Green Book business cases, and options appraisals.
- Develop a strategic approach to securing investment through public-private partnerships, such as joint ventures and trading companies.
- Support wider projects and teams with specialist analysis and modeling expertise.
- Clarify scope, plan, and drive delivery of workstreams, delegating tasks as required.
- Meet deadlines and flag risks.
- Present own work and findings to stakeholders.
- Draft business development content, including case studies, blogs, tender responses, and proposals.
- Develop positive client relationships and influence key stakeholders at a project level.
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in consulting or a similar client-facing role.
- Advanced Excel skills, ideally with experience of financial modeling.
- An understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience in analyzing data.
- Ability to work flexibly to deadlines and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
- A growth mindset, regularly seeking feedback and continuous self-improvement.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate complex or unclear issues.
- Ability to think analytically, systematically, and logically.
- Active contribution to the development of company culture, role-modeling values, and engaging with internal initiatives.
- Be a clear and effective communicator, with the ability to flex style to the audience and client context.
- Be a confident report writer.
- Be able to design and complete data analysis and convey key insights clearly and effectively.
- Confidently present own work/findings as part of a wider project team.
- Have a good understanding of the sector and market, and take a proactive approach to further development.
- Have a good understanding of commerciality – invoicing, margins, budgets, and frameworks.
