About the Role
The Product Partnerships Manager is responsible for executing the partnership strategy to expand product capabilities, increase the total addressable market, and capitalize on new opportunities. This role involves managing partnership relationships, shaping product propositions, executing go-to-market strategies, facilitating commercial activities, developing joint value propositions, and tracking partnership success.
Responsibilities
- Identify product proposition opportunities and suitable partners.
- Research and track high-impact issues in core and payments technology and complementary partner capabilities.
- Track partners influencing commercial targets to strengthen prospect positioning.
- Create collateral and narratives for 'better together' stories, highlighting customer problems, combined capabilities, and value propositions.
- Lead engagements with partners to ensure their proprietary assets complement product direction.
- Run workshops and demos with partners, understanding product evolution.
- Ensure partner solutions enhance, rather than duplicate, internal roadmaps and engineering efforts.
- Build go-to-market strategies and partnership plans with agreed-upon objectives, targets, and success criteria.
- Manage partner relationships, identify incentive programs, and ensure stakeholder involvement in complementary builds.
Requirements
- Strong technical understanding of core banking and payment processing platforms, including underlying architecture and components.
- Ability to assess technical fit of partner solutions against a complex engineering roadmap.
- Proficiency in communicating with both developers and C-suite executives.
- Thorough understanding of the regional banking landscape, including competitors, macro-economics, and regulatory perspectives.
- Knowledge of high-value areas for product expansion.
- Keeps up with the latest market trends in technology and banking and relates them to the product and clients.
- In-depth knowledge of ISV partner technology, service offerings, incentives, and key priorities.
- Strong presentation skills for client and partner executives.
- Strong project management skills to track partnership activities.
- Strong relationship and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and/or payments and/or core banking space.
