About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Staff Nurse to join our dynamic and diverse team on the Medical Ward at The Princess Grace Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a registered nurse looking to develop their career in Acute Medicine. You will thrive on variety, clinical challenge, working in a fast-paced environment and delivering exceptional patient care across both acute and procedural settings.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in delivering safe, effective and patient-centred care within a dynamic acute medical environment, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support the management of acutely unwell patients.
• Contribute to the delivery of our First-Hour pathway for Acute Medical admissions.
• Help ensure patients receive the highest standard of care throughout their journey.
• Care for a diverse cohort of patients with acute medical conditions and complex care needs.
• Support a post-operative pathway for breast surgery patients.
• Support a range of day-case procedures, including iron infusions and interventional radiology procedures (e.g. biopsies).

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with up-to-date registration and revalidation requirements.
• Previous experience in an acute hospital setting (medical ward, surgical ward, AAU or A&E).
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Enthusiastic and motivated with a willingness to learn and develop within Acute Medicine.
• Experience within private healthcare (desirable).
• Evidence of continued professional development (desirable).
• Teaching or mentorship experience (desirable).
• Basic Life Support (desirable).
