About the Role

This role supports store operations, customer service, and team development within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Ensure seasonal areas of the store are maintained
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Ensure all store associates follow company policies and procedures
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions
• Maintain the cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height
• Meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• May be required to provide detailed background information for alcohol/tobacco sales licenses
• Failure to comply with or qualify for alcohol/tobacco sales licenses can lead to demotion or separation of employment
