About the Role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages, ensuring conformance to service features. Provides coverage for assigned routes and performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for package delivery and pickup.
• Ensure package delivery and pickup are courteous and efficient.
• Check shipments for conformance to service features.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Perform related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions.
• Neat appearance required for customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Must have a good driving record.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
