About the Role
Support the operation and execution of transactional global payments to and from Expedia Group across financial platforms. Partner with various business teams, investigate and resolve complex financial transaction issues, and lead information management and reporting activities. Audit system outputs, validate financial data accuracy, and develop/improve processes for information storage and data sharing. Identify root causes, recommend solutions, and lead process improvement implementations. Create reports, tools, and visualizations to enhance operational efficiency and provide insights. Manage multiple priorities and translate complex analyses into clear insights for business decisions. Partner with Business Intelligence teams to productionalize opportunities and support team leadership, escalations, and coaching.
Responsibilities
- Support the operation and execution of transactional global payments to and from Expedia Group across financial platforms.
- Partner with Corporate Accounts Payable and Receivable, Procurement Operations, Partner Payment Operations and Services, and other business teams.
- Investigate and resolve complex financial transaction, data, and system issues.
- Lead information management and reporting activities, ensuring requests are addressed accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Audit system outputs and validate the accuracy of financial data, analytics, and reporting.
- Develop and improve processes for information storage, archiving, disposal, and data sharing in line with privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Identify root causes, recommend solutions, and lead the implementation of process improvements.
- Create reports, tools, measures, and data visualizations that improve operational efficiency and provide actionable insights.
- Manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholder needs while balancing immediate deliverables with longer-term objectives.
- Translate complex analyses into clear, natural-language insights that inform business decisions.
- Partner with Business Intelligence teams to productionalize opportunities identified through analysis.
- Support team leadership, escalations, knowledge sharing, and coaching on systems, processes, and data privacy practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, data analytics, or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience.
- Six or more years of applicable experience in financial operations, payments, sales operations, business analysis, or a related field.
- Experience working with financial systems, ERP platforms, databases, and management reporting tools.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including the ability to work with large datasets.
- Experience validating data accuracy, identifying trends, and developing actionable reporting or visualizations.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, complex projects, and overlapping deadlines.
- Proficient written, verbal, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience identifying root causes and implementing practical process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, data analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with global payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement operations, or partner payment services.
- Experience with data visualization, business intelligence, or reporting tools.
- Knowledge of information governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience leading implementation initiatives or continuous improvement programs in a global organization.
