Our growing global Private Equity group in London offers unparalleled opportunities to work on high-profile, market-leading mandates, advising a diverse range of clients including financial sponsors, their portfolio companies, and management teams. The group is supported by the Firm's global network and expertise in complementary practice areas, providing unrivalled strength and depth.
Responsibilities
- Be an integral member of the deal team, leading key workstreams on large transactions and potentially running smaller transactions.
- Draft legal documents clearly and concisely, creating solutions using legal knowledge and commercial judgment.
- Develop relationships with clients and actively engage in business development and thought leadership initiatives.
- Gain exposure to complex, high-value matters that frequently headline in the business press.
- Develop an unbeatable multi-disciplinary skill set and client-facing skills.
- Advise on all aspects of private equity transactions, including investments, exits, and ongoing work for portfolio companies.
Requirements
- Strong extensive relevant Private Equity transactional experience as a Senior Associate lawyer, likely gained at a City firm or a highly regarded overseas common law practice.
- Outstanding academic history and proven first-rate legal skills.
- Strong reputation amongst existing clients for providing commercial solutions and excellent transactional and management skills.
- Demonstrate strong communication and analytical skills along with a high level of commercial awareness.
- Ability to thrive in a team with high professional standards and a flexible client-friendly commercial approach.
- Strong exposure to collaborating with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent document drafting skills.
- Demonstrate an appetite for business development, client relationship management, and thought leadership.
