About the Role

Deliver end-to-end Canadian corporate tax compliance and settlements, supporting audits, transfer pricing, and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate Canadian corporate income tax and GST/HST, PST, and QST returns for all Canadian legal entities.
  • Assist in the calculation, preparation, and timely settlement of tax payable obligations.
  • Perform corporate income tax and GST/HST, PST, and QST account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing documentation.
  • Support tax audits and inquiries by gathering information and drafting responses.
  • Assist with interpreting and applying federal and provincial tax legislation.
  • Prepare corporate and governance reporting related to tax compliance and controls.
  • Partner with tax accounting and compliance stakeholders to support adherence to tax policies.
  • Manage and coordinate deliverables with external tax advisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Tax, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 3–4 years of tax experience within the financial services sector (corporate tax compliance and/or tax advisory).
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian corporate taxation, including tax compliance processes, tax accounting fundamentals, and transfer pricing concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and corporate tax software (e.g., Corporate TaxPrep or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
  • Service-oriented mindset with a track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
