About the Role

Responsibilities

• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and producing, staging finished product final distribution.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks and loading docks.
• Utilizes RF scanners and ERP systems to track inventory movement and update stock records.
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory and reporting shortages.
• Receives credit-return material/supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
• Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintains equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
• Keeps inventory, loading areas and machinery clean.
• Opens containers, sorts and catalogs materials.
• Follows safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating a forklift is mandatory.
• Previous inventory control experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and analyze information.
• Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of inventory control.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Data entry skills for inventory tracking and shipping documentation.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
