About the Role
Serves as part of a medical team providing surgical care to patients and facilitates the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, surgeon, or other healthcare professional.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED
- Successful completion of Surgical Technologist Program
- One (1) to two (2) years of operating experience
- Hold and maintain a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Incumbents to the Position as of January 1, 2015: Provides evidence was employed as Surgical Technologist in healthcare facility for a cumulative period of one (1) year, occurring within the four (4) years immediately prior to January 1, 2015
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- Demonstrated ability to do arithmetic and communicate in oral or written English
