About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer for our Data Governance Team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures to support advanced analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Databricks for efficient data processing and integration.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement best practices for data management, storage, and retrieval to optimize performance and ensure data integrity.
- Process large datasets, including cleansing, transformation, and aggregation for analytics and reporting.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay updated with advancements in data engineering and Databricks technologies to improve data infrastructure.
- Document data processes and workflows for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with proven expertise in using Databricks.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and integration with Databricks.
- Understanding of data architecture principles and experience with ETL tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
