About the Role

As a deputy Kita leader, you will be actively involved in daily educational activities while providing crucial support to the Kita leader and the entire team. Our educational approach emphasizes education for sustainable development, practical learning, and hands-on experiences in areas like farming and crafting. Music, movement, and healthy eating are also integral parts of our daily program.

Responsibilities

• Educational support and guidance for children in daily Kita activities.
• Fostering individual motor, cognitive, and language development, as well as social skills.
• Observing and documenting children's educational and developmental progress.
• Planning and executing educational activities, projects, and group sessions.
• Active participation in group dynamics and close collaboration with the educational team.
• Assisting the Kita leader with educational, organizational, and administrative tasks.
• Representing the Kita leader in their absence.
• Contributing to the design and further development of the educational concept and quality.
• Supporting staff and duty scheduling.
• Mentoring and supporting staff in their daily educational work.
• Participating in team and duty meetings.
• Building a trusting and constructive partnership with parents.
• Planning and executing celebrations, excursions, and projects with the team.

Requirements

• State-recognized qualification as a childcare professional (Erzieher/in) or equivalent pedagogical qualification.
• Ideally, a qualification in Kita leadership or the willingness to obtain one.
• Enjoyment in combining pedagogical work with leadership responsibility.
• Sensitivity, empathy, and enjoyment in working with children.
• Appreciative, open, and clear communication.
• Enjoyment of teamwork and collaborative development.
• Independent, structured, and reliable work style.
• Enthusiasm for contributing own ideas and actively shaping processes.
• Constructive and trusting collaboration with parents as part of a lived educational partnership.
