About the Role
Merrick Jeep, part of the VIP Automotive Group, is hiring an experienced Automotive Service Advisor to join our busy, high-volume dealership service department. This role is crucial as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, focusing on building customer relationships and driving service sales in a professional, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Schedule and manage service appointments
- Write accurate repair orders (ROs)
- Listen to customer concerns and document vehicle issues
- Recommend factory-recommended maintenance and additional services
- Prepare parts and labor estimates
- Obtain customer authorization for recommended repairs
- Communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines
- Coordinate vehicle repairs with technicians and service management
- Review completed repairs with customers
- Process repair orders accurately
- Maintain strong CSI and customer satisfaction scores
- Build long-term customer relationships and encourage repeat business
- Help maximize service department sales and profitability
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Automotive Service Advisor experience
- At least 1 year of automotive dealership experience required
- Jeep/CDJR experience is a plus
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
