About the Role

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services that support clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical laboratory operations workstreams, ensuring deliverables meet quality and timeline expectations.
  • Manage the daily operations of the laboratory, including workflow management, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and accuracy in testing.
  • Lead and supervise laboratory personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain high performance and adherence to protocols.
  • Ensure that all laboratory activities comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with clinical and project teams to align laboratory services with the needs of clinical trials and client requirements.
  • Monitor laboratory performance through key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance quality and productivity.
  • Manage laboratory budgets and resources, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining high-quality output.

Requirements

  • Solid clinical laboratory operations experience.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.
  • Bachelor's degree in laboratory sciences, biology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in laboratory management or clinical laboratory settings.
  • Proven experience in managing laboratory operations, including staff supervision, workflow optimization, and quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in laboratory operations, with a focus on compliance and safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and other relevant tools.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable, with a commitment to driving continuous improvement and ensuring high-quality laboratory services.
  • Willingness to travel as required (approximately 1%).
  • Must have the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
