About the Role

The Community Hospice, a member of St. Peter's Health Partners, is seeking an experienced and highly organized Office Manager to oversee administrative operations in our corporate office. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys supporting teams, and is passionate about helping ensure exceptional care experiences for patients and families. As the Office Manager, you will provide operational leadership for administrative staff, coordinate office functions, support clinical teams, and help maintain efficient, compliant, and customer-focused business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support administrative staff.
  • Coordinate workloads to ensure timely completion of assignments.
  • Manage staff scheduling, time-off coverage, and cross-training activities.
  • Orient, train, and mentor new and existing administrative team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented work environment.
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide administrative support for clinical directors, patient care supervisors, nursing staff, and schedulers.
  • Assist with meeting coordination, agenda preparation, minute-taking assignments, and follow-up activities.
  • Address office maintenance and operational needs, including building, equipment, and vendor-related issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to improve workflows and internal processes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and agency committees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of administrative or secretarial experience with increasing leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Previous healthcare, hospice, home care or medical office experience as well as experience with electronic medical record systems (EMR) preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
