About the Role
As a Physical Therapy Aide at SportsCare Physical Therapy, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work directly with physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and patients, assisting in the delivery of treatment and promoting a positive and supportive clinic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to patients during therapy sessions, following guidance from the physical therapist or assistant, which may include assisting with exercises, equipment setup, and ensuring patient safety.
- Set up treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
- Assist in patient education by explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist with laundry duties, such as washing and folding linens, towels, and other materials.
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.
- Ensure therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
- Effectively communicate with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.
