About the Role
As a working student in export control, you will support the integration of national and international export control regulations into daily business processes. You will work closely with various departments such as sales, purchasing, and logistics, addressing specific questions regarding export licenses, sanctions, goods classifications, and country-specific restrictions. This role offers direct insight into real cases of international trade and export control law, allowing for the practical application of theoretical knowledge in a fast-paced international environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer daily questions from departments like sales, purchasing, and logistics regarding export control-relevant processes and checks.
- Actively support the preparation and drafting of export license applications with the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA).
- Conduct research on export licenses, sanctions, goods classifications, and country-specific restrictions prior to planned exports.
- Analyze and document past export and customs data for risk analysis and preparation of internal and external audits.
- Independently create, review, and manage end-user declarations for customers, suppliers, and authorities.
Requirements
- Enrolled student (all genders) in Business Law, Law, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or a comparable field.
- Basic understanding or strong interest in German and European export control law, particularly AWG/AWV and the EU Dual-Use Regulation.
- Enjoy conveying complex regulations understandably and supporting colleagues in a solution-oriented manner.
- Work very carefully, structured, and independently.
- Fluent German and very good English language skills.
