About the Role
KPMG's financial services tax team is seeking excellent candidates for dynamic and challenging roles within a supportive leadership structure. Opportunities exist within the Financial Services Product & Operational Taxes team, serving a diverse client base including banks, custodians, brokers, asset managers, and institutional investors. Responsibilities
- Manage, deliver, and grow a portfolio of UK and pan-European investor tax reporting compliance and advisory engagements.
- Lead and develop a team of KPMG professionals.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge in product & operational taxes and related areas.
- Support client relationship and project management, acting as a key contact for clients in product & operational taxes.
- Understand client businesses and collaborate with KPMG teams to identify service opportunities.
- Develop and advise on cutting-edge client propositions.
- Participate in business development and proposal activities.
- Collaborate with KPMG teams globally to provide high-quality product & operational tax support.
- Participate in the development of new client propositions, including working with technology teams to create and deliver new solutions.
- Act as an advocate for KPMG and the operational taxes team, contributing to business growth through high-quality client services.
Requirements
- Evidence of deep technical ability in tax or financial services (e.g., qualification in tax, audit, finance, law, regulation, or significant practical industry experience).
- Practical experience with product & operational taxes in a Financial Services context (industry or professional services experience).
- Understanding of financial markets, participants, investors (e.g., banks, brokers, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, private equity), and products.
- Excellent project management, delegation/coaching, and client-facing delivery skills.
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and the ability to combine this knowledge with evolving tax regulations.
- Ability to leverage new tax developments and create client propositions.
- Enthusiasm, passion, resilience, and a desire for continuous learning.
