About the Role
IQVIA’s Financial Institutions Consulting (FIC) team advises investors on biopharma and life sciences investments, including commercial due diligence, asset and target screening, portfolio company growth strategy and exit/divestment strategy. Successful candidates will engage with clients on high-profile strategic investment decisions in a collaborative and fast-paced work environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver projects primarily in due diligence (buy- and sell-side), asset/portfolio/company valuation, asset screening and growth strategy.
- Leverage consulting and/or transaction advisory experience, IQVIA information and expertise, and methodological know-how to deliver discrete workstreams / modules that address client / business questions.
- Solve strategic issues / diligence questions through a structured and evidence-driven approach, working both independently or in small teams.
- Drive development of high-quality deliverables, leveraging primary and secondary research approaches, including deriving analytical and qualitative insights.
- Serve as a core team member and workstream lead, including presenting / communicating key project insights and recommendations to project management / leadership.
- Contribute to overall FIC team capabilities, including the development of intellectual property, marketing materials, training, recruitment and proposal development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4-5 years professional experience in strategy consulting, M&A/BD&L roles or within a financial institution.
- Experience advising clients on commercial issues in the biopharma / life sciences industry and/or financial investors, including exposure to projects related to transactions / investments.
- Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including prior workstream oversight responsibilities.
- Strong quantitative / analytical and qualitative research skillsets, supported by a problem solving mentality, keen eye for detail and critical thinking.
- Ability to drive primary/secondary research and analysis to assess business performance and synthesise findings into client deliverables.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including presentations and report writing.
- Knowledge of key issues and current developments in the biopharma / life sciences industry.
- Evidence of career progression in consulting and/or transaction advisory roles.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- A willingness and ability to travel (where required).
- Right to live and work in the recruiting country.
