About the Role

This is a highly autonomous HR Business Partner role supporting Space NK's Inner London retail region. You will partner directly with a Regional Manager, four Area Managers, and their store leadership teams, taking ownership of the region's people agenda. The role balances hands-on employee relations support with proactive talent and leadership development, acting as a trusted advisor to operational leaders to build high-performing teams, manage risk, improve engagement, and create exceptional employee experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a broad range of employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, flexible working, and family leave cases.
  • Coach and develop managers to build confidence and capability in people management.
  • Identify trends and root causes, implementing proactive solutions to reduce ER activity and improve team performance.
  • Deliver a training curriculum on employment law, policy, and best practice.
  • Maintain a visible presence in stores, building strong relationships with leaders and teams and coaching around the people agenda.
  • Partner with leaders and a dedicated Retail Recruitment Advisor to attract, engage, develop, and retain great talent.
  • Support succession planning and identify future talent opportunities across the region.
  • Drive performance and talent conversations, ensuring robust development plans are in place.
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to support recruitment activity, new store openings, and hiring manager capability.
  • Champion a positive candidate and employee experience at every stage of the employee lifecycle.
  • Build trusted relationships with regional and area leadership teams.
  • Use people data and insights to identify opportunities and influence business decisions.
  • Support the delivery of key People initiatives, projects, and change programmes.
  • Drive engagement, inclusion, and leadership capability within your region.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of People processes, policies, and ways of working.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR Business Partner role within a multi-site environment, ideally retail or hospitality.
  • Strong employee relations expertise with the confidence to independently manage complex cases.
  • A commercial mindset and ability to translate business challenges into practical people solutions.
  • Proven experience coaching and influencing leaders at multiple levels.
  • Strong understanding of talent, performance, and succession planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Must have the right to live and work in the UK.
