About the Role
Inspire learning, build confidence, and change children's lives as a Maths and English Tutor. Support children aged 4-16 across the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation. Utilize an innovative learning platform, Compass, to deliver tailored sessions and facilitate learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored sessions using the Compass learning tool, facilitating learning through questioning, scaffolding, and stretching.
- Build meaningful relationships with children in a 1:6 ratio, creating a safe and inspiring environment.
- Support members with the national curriculum, entrance exams, and GCSE preparation, celebrating their progress.
- Lead sessions with small groups, inspiring children to engage in learning.
- Utilize positive behaviour management strategies.
- Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of children.
Requirements
- Must be age 16 or over.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Must have achieved a grade 6 or above in Maths & English Language at GCSE level or equivalent.
- Predicted GCSE grades are accepted if results will be received within the next 3 months.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be required.
- Must provide a full employment history with all gaps clearly explained and evidenced where required.
- Satisfactory references and an Enhanced DBS check are required.
- Must share the commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

- Under 18: £8.40 per hour
- 18-20: £10.90 per hour
- 21+: £12.75 per hour
- Additional 50p per hour for working inside the M25
