About the Role

This position provides strategic direction and manages the development of process improvement for the logistics function. You will develop and lead the team responsible for the movement and coordination of product in and out of the facility. Success in this role enables greater responsibilities and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
• Ensure team is processing orders, verifying outbound appointments, and managing the Warehouse Management System timely; remove barriers as needed
• Optimize the inbound and outbound scheduling process based on volume, physical facility limitations, logistical constraints, and historical information
• Monitor and manage carriers arriving for appointments, to include late arrivals, no shows and outbound turn time
• Manage contracts for carriers and report on performance issues

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of import/export processes and procedures
• Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
• Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical skills

Skills

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Experience Level

• 7 years’ experience in a shipping or transportation management environment

Education Level

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Salary/Compensations

• $114,200.00 - $205,500.00
