About the Role

In this role, you will support exciting AI projects for the German armed forces, authorities, and the defense industry, from idea development to implementation in a security-critical environment. You will work on innovative topics such as Software Defined Defense, Embedded AI, and Edge AI, continuously developing your expertise.

Responsibilities

• Observation and evaluation of relevant AI technologies in the defense context (e.g., Edge AI, autonomous systems, data fusion, generative AI)
• Participation in the identification, conception, and further development of AI use cases in operational scenarios as well as in production and engineering
• Support in the development and integration of AI solutions and understanding the interplay of data, models, and systems
• Translation of business requirements into viable AI solutions at the interface between technology and business departments
• Collaboration on customer presentations, proposals, and internal initiatives, as well as close cooperation with colleagues, customers, and partners in the defense sector

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, a STEM field, or a comparable qualification
• Initial practical experience with AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, or related technologies (e.g., through studies, internships, or projects)
• Basic knowledge in data management, data analysis, or data-driven applications
• Structured and analytical approach to work, as well as interest in AI use cases and their professional and technical implementation
• Team orientation and strong communication skills, very good German and English language skills, and willingness to travel occasionally within the DACH region
