About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to provide technical leadership for a mature enterprise application landscape supporting ongoing operations, maintenance, enhancements, and modernization initiatives. The role will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, driving continuous improvement, governing architecture decisions, supporting production operations, and enabling delivery teams to implement business and technical changes efficiently and securely. The successful candidate will act as the technology leader across application support, enhancement delivery, cloud operations, DevSecOps practices, and long-term technology roadmap planning.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall application architecture and technical roadmap.
  • Ensure architectural integrity across production, non-production, and integration environments.
  • Review and approve solution designs for enhancements, change requests, and platform upgrades.
  • Drive technology simplification, standardization, and technical debt reduction.
  • Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance to delivery and support teams.
  • Support stable operation of business-critical applications.
  • Lead analysis of recurring production issues and identify strategic remediation opportunities.
  • Drive platform improvements focused on reliability, performance, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and recommend modernization opportunities for legacy components.
  • Ensure sustainable support models and operational readiness across environments.
  • Provide architectural guidance during major incidents and problem investigations.
  • Review root cause analyses and ensure implementation of permanent fixes.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Ensure application availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements are met.
  • Drive proactive monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational automation initiatives.
  • Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Support estimation, impact assessments, and solution planning for enhancements.
  • Ensure new functionality aligns with architectural standards and non-functional requirements.
  • Govern release readiness and deployment strategies.
  • Lead cloud architecture reviews and platform optimization initiatives.
  • Guide infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, and service improvements.
  • Drive implementation of cloud-native practices where appropriate.
  • Ensure platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient.
  • Champion DevSecOps culture and automation-first practices.
  • Improve CI/CD maturity, deployment reliability, and release automation.
  • Promote secure software development practices.
  • Drive adoption of automated testing, code quality controls, and engineering metrics.
  • Enable continuous improvement through measurable engineering outcomes.
  • Ensure architecture complies with organizational security and compliance standards.
  • Participate in security reviews, threat assessments, and vulnerability remediation planning.
  • Support audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish security-by-design principles across the application lifecycle.
