About the Role
This is a full-time, standalone Head of Health & Safety role dedicated to managing the risk framework, supplier assurance, incident learning loop, and crisis response. The goal is to enable product and marketing teams to design bolder trips with confidence. You will own the safety standard end-to-end with a lean, high-leverage approach.
Responsibilities
- Setting the boundaries for acceptable risk.
- Integrating safety into the design of new trips and experiences.
- Owning and setting safety standards for suppliers and ground partners.
- Leading incident response and coordinating resolution.
- Ensuring field staff have adequate training and support for crisis management.
- Facilitating cross-functional decision-making on risk.
- Utilizing data and AI for proactive risk identification and management.
- Shaping the company's communication on safety standards.
- Providing clear risk assessments to the CEO and board.
Requirements
- Real adventure-travel or high-risk-activity safety experience.
- Proven ability to handle incidents and develop safety policies.
- Demonstrated judgment under pressure and ability to make fast, defensible calls.
- Experience in maturing a safety function, risk framework, or supplier-assurance process.
- Commercial fluency with an understanding of the balance between safety and product ambition.
- Comfort with data and AI-assisted tools.
- Experience managing and influencing teams.
- Executive presence to brief senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with recognized risk-management and travel-safety standards is a plus.
