About the Role

The Senior Surveyor is responsible for the day-to-day running and reporting on assigned properties or clients, including service delivery, occupier liaison, service charge management, and compliance oversight. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Support the completion of planned works in partnership with the Building Consultancy Team.
  • Commission Long Term Asset Replacement Plans.
  • Manage permit to work systems.
  • Monitor PPMs to ensure proactive and responsible building management.
  • Align service charge budgets and property plans.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations.
  • Communicate appropriately with clients and occupiers.
  • Monitor statutory and internal compliance.
  • Instruct audits, assessments, and specialist advice.
  • Align with service partners for control documents, log books, and online management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with MAPP policies and procedures, RICS and ISO standards, and statutory/insurance timelines.
  • Manage escalation requirements.
  • Authorize and review supplier payments.
  • Prepare and submit funding requests to clients.
  • Provide support and due diligence for client building and site purchases.
  • Align with legislative guidelines and MAPP Practice.
  • Read, review, and understand leases and documents.
  • Ensure occupier compliance with obligations and expectations.
  • Manage maintenance, licenses to assign, changes of use, alterations, and applications from occupiers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislative guidance and the PMA.
  • Manage a team aligned with MAPP Values.
  • Engage with occupiers, including implementing Customer Experience frameworks.
  • Improve occupier satisfaction and retention.
  • Manage occupier forums and meetings.
  • Implement placemaking and V2 initiatives.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding or handovers of instructions to external parties.
  • Manage TUPE Processes with the People Team.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a similar role.
  • All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK by the start date of employment.
