About the Role
You will be the Solutions Architect for a major data and cloud migration for a client's marketplace platform. Your responsibilities include owning the target-state data architecture on AWS and the end-to-end migration plan, ensuring minimal disruption to a high-volume live platform.
Responsibilities
- Own the target-state data architecture on AWS.
- Develop and own the plan for data migration end-to-end.
- Manage data movement, sequencing, cleaning, and reconciliation during migration.
- Oversee cutover processes with minimal downtime.
- Design target-state data architecture on AWS.
- Plan data migrations, including dependency mapping, data cleansing, reconciliation, cutover, and rollback strategies.
- Implement low-downtime migration approaches.
Requirements
- Experience owning migration planning from start to finish.
- Ability to manage dependency mapping and cutover sequencing while maintaining a view of the wider architecture.
- Experience with AWS at scale on systems with low downtime tolerance.
- Must be based within 50 miles of our offices in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, or London.
- Willingness to attend in-person meetings, workshops, and key moments when required by the client.
