About the Role
This is a standalone Senior Talent Acquisition Partner role with real scope, leading hiring across the organisation (Operations, Research, Member Experience, and beyond) in the UK, US, and Germany. You will manage up to 15 roles at once, including permanent, seasonal, and contract hires, reporting to the People Director. You'll have ownership over hiring processes, aiming to close 12+ roles and build an employer brand that reflects the candidate experience.
Responsibilities
- Own the full hiring lifecycle from role launch to offer, independently managing concurrent hiring processes and delivering an excellent candidate experience.
- Act as a trusted partner to hiring managers and interviewers, coaching them to make confident hiring decisions.
- Proactively headhunt candidates and build passive talent pools and long-term pipelines for key functions.
- Design role-specific assessment materials and interview processes to evaluate candidates effectively.
- Partner with the Comms team to build and steward the employer brand, providing candidates with insight into working at Founders Pledge.
- Build relationships within the effective giving ecosystem by attending events and joining professional groups to cultivate talent pools and generate referrals.
- Set up and maintain ongoing hiring reporting, using data for continuous process and candidate experience improvement.
- Continue to embed AI and ATS automation into the hiring process.
- Occasionally partner with the Head of Organisational Development on projects like onboarding improvements.
Requirements
- Driven by securing exceptional talent and building teams, not just running a process.
- Possess real hustle for headhunting, a sharp eye for employer branding, and the judgment to design tailored hiring processes.
- Maintain pace without sacrificing quality.
- In-house recruitment experience in a fast-paced start-up or scale-up environment, either in a small team or standalone role.
- End-to-end recruitment expertise, from advising on role requirements to negotiating offers.
- A coaching mindset to support hiring managers in making good, timely decisions.
- Excellent judgment and EQ to navigate stakeholder demands and candidate needs with composure.
- Extract signal from ambiguity and deliver customer-service-level professionalism.
- High personal standards regarding candidate experience, responsiveness, and results.
- Comfortable working independently, bringing structure and creativity to sourcing and hiring.
- Experience hiring into research or advisory roles within the effective giving ecosystem (nice to have).
- Experience in a mission-driven environment (nice to have).
