About the Role
This role will play a key part in creating the list within the colour publishing team, working closely with the editorial and production teams to design quality commercial picture books. The position focuses on creating, shaping, championing, and publishing books that delight young readers, offering a chance to work on titles within an award-winning team.
Responsibilities
- Create, shape, champion and publish books that delight and captivate young readers.
- Focus on creating high quality, industry-leading Picture Books.
- Develop, create and manage titles for the list working in close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Understand pre-press working and the administrative aspects of bookmaking.
- Liaise with rights, production, sales and marketing.
- Produce quality sales material as required.
- Manage a number of books on budget and on schedule within a fast-paced environment.
- Pitch in across all areas of a small team.
Requirements
- Must have a legal right to work in the UK.
- Must be happy to pitch in across all areas.
- Must have strong communication, project, and time-management skills.
- Must be calm under pressure and thrive on meeting deadlines.

- Picture book, novelty and preschool design
- Early years publishing

- Fluent in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Keen eye for innovative colour work
- Experience in supplying print ready files to production
