About the Role

The Independence Team seeks a solutions-focused Senior Manager skilled in relationship building and driving change. This role involves supporting the PwC network and audit engagement teams with independence rules for new and rotating clients, navigating non-audit service permissibility, and advising on PwC Independence policy and external regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PwC network and audit engagement teams in audit tenders and situations requiring application of independence rules to new clients.
  • Support the PwC network and audit engagement teams during client rotation off-boarding and ensure firm systems are updated.
  • Support engagement teams across all service lines in navigating the permissibility of non-audit services and technology tools.
  • Advise on PwC Independence policy and external regulations such as FRC, IESBA, and SEC.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of commercial/client-facing issues and empathy with client-facing practitioners.
  • Possess intellectual capacity for sound judgment, strong analytical, organizational, project management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently at all levels and manage internal relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing demands, provide support, influence others, and adapt behavior as necessary.
  • Conscientious, ambitious team player with good self-management skills and initiative.
  • Strong coaching and people management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Audit is preferred.
  • Must be confident in liaising with individuals at all levels throughout the firm.
  • Must enjoy acquiring new knowledge.
  • Must be able to deliver difficult messages on occasion.
