About the Role

Join ]init[ to shape the digitalization of the Public Sector in Germany. You will apply your expertise to modernize administrative services, implement OZG administrative services using the "One for All" principle, and eliminate complex proof requirements for citizens and businesses through the consistent application of the "Once Only" principle via register modernization.

Responsibilities

• Shape (IT) consulting projects within the Consulting Unit.
• Accompany clients from the Public Sector in digitalization projects.
• Support the design of strategies, organizations, and processes for federal, state, and local authorities.
• Collaborate with the project team to define customer requirements and develop innovative solution strategies and concepts.
• Continuously develop your skills through further training and internal knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Completed studies in fields such as Political Science, Public Administration, Public Administration Informatics, Law, or Business Informatics, or an equivalent background.
• Initial experience in consulting or IT project management, with a preference for experience with public administration.
• Good understanding of project planning and control; familiarity with PMFlex is a plus.
• Enjoyment in accompanying the introduction of new IT solutions from preparation through pilot testing to successful go-live.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse users and stakeholders in change processes through workshops, information events, consultations, or training.
• Ability to prepare complex content understandably and present it concisely in guidelines, manuals, or documents for committee participation.
• Technical understanding and interest in system implementation aspects, including configuration, interfaces, data migration, customizing, and functional/technical testing.
• Consideration for post-go-live activities such as support, hypercare, user feedback, and transition to stable operational structures.
• Interest in administrative digitalization and the successful introduction and anchoring of modern IT services in public organizations.
• Knowledge of OZG, EfA, FIM, data protection, or IT service management is a plus, but a willingness to learn these topics is more important.
