About the Role
Seeking a student worker to support the Central Services department in procurement and contract management, contributing to the digitalization of Berlin's administration.
Responsibilities
- Actively support the team in preparing, conducting, and finalizing procurement and tender procedures.
- Create, maintain, and review procurement, tender, and contract documents, and assist with their documentation.
- Handle organizational tasks such as coordinating appointments, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining relevant documents.
- Independently research procurement and contract-related questions and prepare results for the target audience.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with a focus on Business Administration, Public Management, Administrative Sciences, or a comparable field.
- Expected to remain enrolled for at least one more year.
- Proficient in common Microsoft 365 applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Structured, meticulous, and independent work style.
- Good written and oral communication skills in German.
- Initial knowledge of (public) procurement, contract, or administrative law, e.g., from studies or practical experience.
- Organizational skills, teamwork ability, and a reliable work ethic.
- Analytical thinking skills and interest in commercial, legal, and organizational issues.
