About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious Head of Commercial to join our expanding EU commercial team. This role involves leading a team, nurturing strategic partnerships with retail partners, and identifying new commercial opportunities to enhance the brand's presence both in-store and online.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of SNAMs, NAMs & NAEs responsible for the EU department store & speciality business.
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve and exceed objectives and targets, fostering commercial excellence.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with retail partners at all levels to ensure optimal brand positioning and visibility.
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and contract management, including terms, pricing, distribution, and space allocation.
  • Serve as a senior escalation contact for retail partners.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of retail context, category, and store performance to identify opportunities and strategic needs.
  • Build and deliver against retail sales targets within budget expectations, aligning with Marketing & Retail teams.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to maintain and drive the #1 ranking across the European estate.
  • React to retail trends and maximize opportunities across retailers, monitoring and optimizing sales performance.
  • Ensure accurate forecasting for new product development and core lines, and manage inventory and assortment proactively.
  • Own net sales forecasting for defined retailers, meeting financial deadlines and budget submissions.
  • Manage each account's P&L, balancing investment with top-line opportunity and monitoring retailer profit contribution.
  • Lead the annual retailer strategy rollout, collaborating across departments to deliver presentations and 360 plans.
  • Align trading plans with local and global teams to ensure a consistent plan across all retailers within the region.
  • Collaborate with Operational Marketing, Visual Merchandising, PR, and Store Design to create and deliver annual plans for each retailer.
  • Review the implementation and performance of the annual strategy against expectations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar, senior commercial role within Sales, ideally with a Beauty/Retail background.
  • Experience working across European markets is preferred but not essential.
  • Experienced leader who enjoys leading from the front and is dedicated to their team.
  • Ability to inspire, coach, and be an authentic leader with clear communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work at pace, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in presenting and able to influence.
  • Personable and approachable, able to build rapport quickly and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of budget and P&L management.
  • Strong attention to detail and results-driven.
  • Strong Business Acumen, able to see bigger business issues and formulate strategy.
  • Proactive with a 'no excuses' mindset and comfortable working in ambiguity.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ever-evolving environment.
  • Ability to grow, innovate, and be part of a global team.
