About the Role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will play a central role in building and further developing our automated tests. Your focus will be on reliably, scalably, and maintainably automating processes in our applications through end-to-end processes. You will work closely with Engineering and our Product Managers to ensure our applications function reliably.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate automated tests focusing on user flows along our core processes – from the app user to the tax advisor to the interaction of different systems.
- Utilize tools like Playwright and be prepared to go beyond standard solutions when tools reach their limits.
- Have an analytical view of processes, identify weaknesses for tests, and question processes.
- Be prepared to break new ground when classic approaches are insufficient – whether in testing, infrastructure, or integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support Engineering and Product with test tools.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in test automation, especially in the E2E area.
- Very good knowledge of Playwright or comparable frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Selenium).
- Confident handling of TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience in testing complex, distributed systems and a good understanding of end-to-end processes across multiple components.
- Quickly recognize where processes break or are inefficient and derive robust test strategies from them.
- Find the balance between clean test architecture and pragmatic implementation in everyday work.
- Clearly communicate technical and functional topics and work closely with various stakeholders.
