About the Role

Shape and deliver data and AI capabilities supporting the commodities, trade, and transition business. Own and prioritize a technical product backlog, translating business challenges into practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize a technical product backlog covering data pipelines, data models, APIs, analytics, and AI features.
  • Work closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Data, Engineering, and Technology teams.
  • Translate business challenges into clear, practical solutions.
  • Guide products from concept through development, testing, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Help teams make informed trade-offs across customer needs, business needs, technical constraints, data quality, risk, and delivery priorities.
  • Ensure new capabilities are well-governed, operationally ready, and supported by appropriate controls, approvals, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong experience owning and managing a technical product backlog, balancing business priorities, delivery dependencies, and stakeholder needs across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong business understanding of commodity derivatives, financial markets, and associated trading or risk management processes.
  • Sound knowledge of data engineering and AI concepts, including data pipelines, data modelling, SQL, APIs, cloud data platforms, and machine learning lifecycles.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery priorities, partnering closely with engineers, architects, and data specialists.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.
  • Understanding of governance, risk, controls, and regulatory requirements within a complex environment.
