About the Role
WSP's Sydney Building Services team is seeking an experienced Senior Hydraulic Engineer to lead hydraulic design on major transport infrastructure projects, including rail stations, metro infrastructure, tunnels, and airport facilities. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-profile projects with support from a strong technical network.
Responsibilities
- Lead the hydraulic design and delivery of major transport and infrastructure projects.
- Take ownership of hydraulic design from concept through to construction support.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developing engineers.
- Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil and transport specialists.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Review designs, specifications and documentation to ensure quality, compliance and constructability.
- Contribute to project bids, client engagement and technical innovation initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Hydraulic Engineer within a building services consultancy.
- Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex transport or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, Sydney Water requirements and relevant transport authority standards.
- Proven ability to lead design packages and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for technical excellence and mentoring others.
- CPEng status or progress towards chartership will be highly regarded.
