About the Role
As a People Operations Specialist, you will create a smooth and responsive employee experience by supporting the employee lifecycle, maintaining People systems and data accuracy, and delivering programs for a fast-moving fintech business. You will collaborate with the People team, bringing great service, sound judgment, and attention to detail. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employee and leader inquiries regarding People policies, processes, Workday, and employee lifecycle matters.
- Manage employee lifecycle transactions, including coordinating onboarding, offboarding, and inductions with accuracy and timeliness.
- Own and manage requests through People service channels, resolving issues directly or escalating as needed.
- Maintain accurate employee records and organizational data to ensure data integrity, compliance, and governance.
- Coordinate operational activities for learning programs, visa processes, mandatory compliance training, and other People initiatives.
- Support the execution of annual People programs, including performance and development reviews, remuneration, and employee engagement activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in a People Operations career with prior experience in HR coordination, administration, or People systems.
- A customer-centric approach with the ability to simplify and streamline People processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with technology and ability to learn new systems; experience with Workday or similar HR platforms is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to determine appropriate actions for issue resolution.
- A proactive and collaborative work style with a drive for process improvement.
- Experience with service management tools like Jira Service Management or relevant HR/Business qualifications is a plus.
