About the Role
As the Rooms Division Manager, you'll be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day leadership of the rooms department, liaising with the broader hotel team to deliver operational excellence, outstanding guest satisfaction, strong financial performance, and an engaged, high-performing team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance operations.
- Drive exceptional guest experiences and service excellence.
- Manage guest feedback and online reputation to maximise satisfaction and loyalty.
- Optimise room inventory, occupancy and revenue performance.
- Drive operational efficiencies and cost control initiatives.
- Analyse performance data and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Foster an engaged, accountable and service-focused culture.
- Support team development, retention and performance outcomes.
- Partner with the General Manager to deliver hotel objectives.
- Lead operational projects and business improvement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in hotel rooms operations.
- Strong knowledge of Front Office, Housekeeping and Reservations.
- Commercially minded with experience managing budgets, labour and performance targets.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on leadership style with experience using hotel PMS and revenue systems.
- Commitment to operational excellence, compliance and workplace safety.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights with no sponsorship requirement.
