About the Role

Drive process transformation, digitalization, and modernization of insurance claims operations to deliver the best customer experience. Collaborate with business units to define and optimize business processes, maintain knowledge of workflows and use cases, and identify opportunities for automation and optimization. Explore new technologies and propose solutions aligned with business goals and IT strategy. Coordinate system development and maintenance, ensuring smooth operations within development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multiple business units to define and optimize business processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of business processes, workflows, and use cases.
  • Understand core capabilities, functionalities, and limitations.
  • Support automation and optimization of business processes.
  • Elicit new needs and create user stories.
  • Explore new technologies and functionalities, evaluating and proposing solutions aligned with business goals and IT strategy.
  • Coordinate system development and maintenance, ensuring smooth operations within development teams.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and development teams to prioritize and plan the backlog.
  • Act as a bridge between business units and development teams to ensure successful implementation.
  • Ensure business requirements are thoroughly validated and proactively minimize service interruptions.
  • Plan and coordinate system release plans, leading release activities.
  • Advocate for best practices in backlog management, user story creation, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analyst, System Analyst, Product Owner, or similar roles.
  • 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Experience leading requirements discussions and managing inter-team dependencies.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making to ensure business requirements align with overall product vision and business strategy.
  • Ownership and accountability for leading requirements management and backlog refinement.
  • Cross-functional leadership to drive collaboration across multiple teams and departments.
  • Continuous improvement mindset to identify areas for optimization and business efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of IT product delivery processes and vendor management.
  • Expertise in backlog management and requirements elicitation within Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Business-level Japanese proficiency.
  • Conversational-level English proficiency.
