About the Role

As a Java Developer, you will contribute to modern, cloud-ready applications that power research and asset management capabilities. You will collaborate within an Agile environment to solve complex business challenges through scalable software solutions, gaining exposure to microservices, API development, cloud technologies, automation, CI/CD, and user experience modernization.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in software development, including internships, co-ops, apprenticeships, academic projects, or professional experience.
  • Foundational proficiency in Java software development and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design fundamentals.
  • Experience writing, testing, debugging, and maintaining code with a focus on quality and reliability.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and the ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and modern application development concepts.
  • Experience using Git or similar version control tools in a collaborative development environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt within an Agile software development environment.
