About the Role

Johnson Controls is seeking an OpenBlue Customer Advisor to partner with customers and deliver value through AI-enabled smart building software solutions. This role involves serving as a key consultant throughout the customer lifecycle, driving successful outcomes in energy efficiency, sustainability, and equipment uptime.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of customer value for OpenBlue solutions
  • Manage customer onboarding, including project kick-offs and understanding customer needs
  • Train end users on the OpenBlue customer value framework and success metrics
  • Provide customers with a guided product tour after delivery
  • Act as a trusted advisor to help customers achieve business outcomes
  • Monitor product usage analytics and provide feedback to customers
  • Establish regular check-ins and touchpoints with new customers
  • Review open issues and technical support tickets with customers
  • Provide initial triage, basic support, and customer training to resolve problems
  • Monitor customer health and value delivered, conducting NPS surveys
  • Participate in Customer Business Reviews (QBRs)
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, sharing feedback with Product Management and Commercial teams
  • Ensure customers' definition of success is met
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional value
  • Drive new business growth by earning favorable customer references

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years recent experience in HVAC systems, building automation systems, energy management solutions, facility management, or building maintenance services
  • Hands-on experience working with installation, deployment, or use of Operational Technologies (OT) in medium to large facilities
  • Experience delivering user training, product demonstrations, and addressing operational questions
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong track record in customer relationship management with enterprise customers
  • Extremely organized project management skills to manage multiple customers
  • Demonstrated ability to lead within a matrix organization
  • Enjoys learning new things in a self-directed fashion
  • Experience driving process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Work authorization permitting work in Costa Rica
