About the Role
Montagu Evans is seeking a professional to support the housing and land planning team, contributing to its growth and taking initiative to resolve project and internal matters. This role involves managing performance, identifying business opportunities, and nurturing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Support the partners in the housing and land planning team.
- Contribute to the growth of the housing and land planning team.
- Take initiative to resolve project and internal matters.
- Manage and delegate effectively for own and junior colleague's performance.
- Stay updated on market and professional information to identify profitable business opportunities.
- Collaborate with other parts of the business to explore business opportunities.
- Nurture existing client relationships to win repeat business independently or as part of a team.
- Provide direct client advice and manage junior staff in preparing client advice.
- Develop planning strategies, prepare programmes, and review information.
- Draft or review reports, and coordinate the preparation and submission of planning applications/appeals/representations.
- Identify new business opportunities, assist in firm-wide business development, and prepare fee proposals.
- Develop an individual client base.
- Provide planning advice to clients and attend meetings.
- Assist in the development and training of staff, including mentoring junior staff.
- Maintain continuing professional development for self and junior colleagues.
- Undertake any additional duties as reasonably requested.
Requirements
- RTPI Qualified.
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively across teams and departments.
- High service delivery skills.
- An independent thinker.
- Previous experience of working across England.
- Experience in delivering residential-led projects is preferred.
