About the Role
Optus is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to support accurate and timely payroll services. This role involves processing payroll transactions, maintaining employee data in SAP EC/ECP, and ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation.
Responsibilities
- Process payroll transactions and employee lifecycle changes accurately and on time.
- Maintain employee data in SAP EC/ECP and support end-to-end payroll operations.
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll, tax, superannuation, and leave legislation.
- Manage payroll enquiries, employee benefits, entitlements, and salary disputes.
- Perform payroll reconciliations, reporting, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Support payroll system testing, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Australian payroll experience in a high-volume, in-house payroll environment.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including taxation, superannuation, leave entitlements, and payroll compliance.
- Proficient in SAP Payroll/ECP and HRIS systems, with experience in payroll processing, employee lifecycle changes, and reconciliations.
- Intermediate Excel skills with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a strong customer service focus.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
