About the Role
As a Post Doctoral Researcher in the AI team, you will work with GE Vernova Advanced Research, GEV Business, and external customers to build and execute strategic research and development programs focused in AI and Machine Learning for the energy ecosystem. You will design, develop, and apply innovative AI technologies to tackle complex challenges in the energy sector, spanning fundamental investigations to prototyping and solution development.
Responsibilities
- Work with teams of researchers on new and continuing projects
- Develop software solutions for the application of Machine Learning to medical and industrial data
- Implement and analyze prototypes and solutions for real-world problems
- Employ software libraries, tools, and practices to implement efficient, scalable, and reusable solutions
- Create intellectual property by writing invention disclosures and filing patents
Requirements
- Master's degree with minimum 2 years' experience or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields with a focus on Machine Learning and/or Artificial Intelligence
- Experience in training domain-specific large language models (LLM)
- Experience in development of time-series or multi-modal foundation models
- Experience in building and leveraging knowledge graphs for reasoning and memory
- Demonstrated ability to write Python code
- Willing to travel a minimum of 2 weeks per year
- Must have work authorization for the US
- Willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY

- Geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas
