About the Role
As part of the Global Employer Services team within Tax & Legal, you will form part of the payroll group responsible for delivering a range of payroll services to clients. This role involves providing payroll services for both domestic and international employees.
Responsibilities
- Set up, preparation and delivery of shadow payroll calculations
- Preparation of end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance to company procedures, payroll adjustments, leave reconciliations, terminations, superannuation and other associated payroll tasks
- Preparation of monthly and yearly state payroll tax return reconciliations
- Calculation of all month end remittances, ensuring statutory guidelines are met
- Calculation of Workers compensation payments as part of payroll processing
- Complete month end procedures, including reports and GL files
- Assist with the monitoring and entering of all master file details
- Drafting of responses to payroll queries in a timely manner
- Support Single Touch Payroll (STP), end-of-year reporting, and other statutory compliance requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing a high standard of payroll service and support
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills
- Base knowledge of Australian Single Touch Payroll and superannuation obligations
- Passion to provide excellence in customer service to internal clients
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with all employee related issues
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple and competing priorities
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume processing environment
- Intermediate to advanced excel skills
- Experience with using Australian payroll systems
- One or more years of Australian payroll related experience
- Willing to work from our Sydney or western Sydney office
- The preferred candidate will be subject to background screening by Deloitte or by their external third-party provider
