Responsibilities
- Creation, optimisation and reporting of paid search campaigns across Google & Microsoft, specifically driving the performance of our Retail portfolios (Qantas Marketplace, Qantas Wine and Qantas Shopping).
- Execute campaigns to maximise financial outcomes for the business while effectively pacing monthly budgets.
- Act as a core subject matter expert, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders (from Marketing to Commercial), and provide vital input into the overall search strategy.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of dedicated Search Engine Marketing experience across campaign planning, tracking setup, execution, optimisation and reporting.
- Prior history managing Google Shopping is desirable.
- Deep hands-on experience utilising search engine marketing technology and bid management tools - specifically Search Ads 360, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Google Merchant Center.
- Solid understanding of paid search mechanics, digital advertising concepts, and search engine algorithm dynamics, with a specific interest or background in optimising retail portfolios, e-commerce, and product feeds.
- Familiarity with competitor tracking platforms (such as Adthena), measurement platforms, product feed management tools and test and learn processes.
- Advanced numerical literacy, and a proven ability to identify data patterns, troubleshoot performance blockers, and drive incremental revenue from investments.
- High level of communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical frameworks, data trends, and search concepts into meaningful insights and clear stories for stakeholders and broader business audiences.
- Experience with AI Max and Performance Max, adoption of LLMs in your workflow and knowledge of emerging agentic search opportunities is highly regarded.
