About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, this role is responsible for the design, development, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing support of control systems across major rail, road, and transport infrastructure projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, partnering with project managers, engineers, clients, and operational teams to deliver safe, reliable, and innovative automation solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Deliver engineering solutions from concept design through to commissioning and handover.
Support maintenance, upgrade, and renewal projects across transport infrastructure assets.
Perform system integration, testing, commissioning, and operational support.
Develop engineering documentation including FDS, FAT/SAT procedures, and commissioning plans.
Troubleshoot and resolve control system faults and performance issues.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, operations, and client teams.

Requirements

Experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
Control systems programming and commissioning experience.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management capability.
