About the Role

This remote role focuses on implementing and optimizing Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities within Microsoft 365. The Systems Engineer III will lead the adoption, governance, and operationalization of Copilot, ensuring secure and compliant use of AI technologies, and driving end-user value realization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of Microsoft Copilot across M365 workloads.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to define and enforce governance, compliance, and security frameworks for Copilot and AI-enabled services.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize Copilot use cases and design technical solutions.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services to support Copilot readiness and sustain usage.
  • Collaborate with Information Security teams to ensure data protection and compliance for AI-generated content.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy automation and scripting solutions to support Copilot.
  • Monitor service health, usage analytics, and adoption metrics to improve Copilot experience.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during IT audits and assessments related to AI and M365 services.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by gathering user feedback and reviewing product releases.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to system administrators and engineers.
  • Lead technical support and service in the installation and testing of software, patches, and upgrades.
  • Resolve complex problems and failures in assigned products and technical facilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain processes for daily backup, recovery, data security, and disaster recovery.
  • Coordinate testing with application support staff to determine function, results, stability, performance, and resource consumption.
  • Verify the successful implementation of software, patches, and upgrades.
  • Perform planning and technical activities to ensure resource availability.
  • Continuously monitor and improve systems, processes, and related technical infrastructure.
  • Improve technical effectiveness by automating tasks and utilizing programming or scripting.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge base through ongoing research and education.
  • Communicate effective and clear technical information to associates, vendor support personnel, and internal clients.
  • Manage special or advanced technical projects.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to less experienced associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 10 years' experience in Systems engineer and Systems programmer.
