About the Role
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care and helping the clinical team provide high-quality dentistry. You’ll work alongside dentists, specialists and other dental professionals to help patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit. Your work makes a difference every day by preparing patients and treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and educating patients. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments and equipment for dental procedures.
- Assist dentists and specialists during examinations and dental procedures.
- Take and prepare dental X-rays and other diagnostic records, when permitted by state regulations and within your credentials.
- Provide patients with clear, compassionate guidance on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain appropriate infection control, sterilization and safety standards.
- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and supplies.
- Support an efficient, organized clinical environment.
- Help create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient.
- Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to deliver exceptional care.
Requirements
- Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment.
- Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain before your start date.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive, dependable and willing-to-learn attitude.
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but qualified new dental assistants may be considered depending on the practice and state requirements.
