About the Role

This role provides a specialized records and information management capability and framework to enable the organization to leverage its information assets, rely on its evidential records, and mitigate information management risks to support business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring and monitoring compliance with relevant records and information management legislation and regulatory obligations.
  • Undertaking compliance assurance activities such as biennial records maturity assessments.
  • Understanding business requirements and needs to deliver high-quality information management services, solutions, and outcomes.
  • Advising and guiding the organization about best practices.
  • Applying expert knowledge and experience in information management.
  • Delivering information management compliance awareness training and support across Sydney Metro.
  • Developing and implementing effective audit and monitoring frameworks.
  • Providing accurate and detailed reporting to support measurement of maturity and uplift work.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of industry experience in information management.
  • Experience within a large and complex organization is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business and audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative compliance requirements related to information management (e.g., ISO 15489, State Records Act 1998, NSW Standard on records management).
  • Understanding of records retention and disposal schedules.
  • Strong understanding of technology and systems supporting digital information and records.
  • Understanding of evolving digital and technology trends such as Artificial Intelligence and their impact on information management.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for problem-solving and developing solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead conversations with senior leaders and provide advice and direction.
